Art Nouveau MC signet ring in 18 karat yellow gold (750). Antique ring with a relief decoration on the entire ring, depicting two winged figures, one with angel wings, the other with bat wings. They support a coat of arms inscribed with the numeral (or monogram) “MC” in raised letters. The rest of the ring is formed by the body of a snake. Originally accessible to a middle-class clientele, steel jewelry became the prerogative of the nobility as soon as it adopted a particular decoration, becoming increasingly sought-after and expensive.
