Georgian paste ring in rose gold 14 karats, decorated with a foiled paste glass. The paste stone is set with eight small claws on a curved bottom. The ring is delicately chiseled, the shoulders are decorated with leaves. Antique ring dating from the early 19th century, circa 1820, Gorgian period.

French marquess crown brooch in yellow, rose gold 18 karats and platinum. Antique brooch representing a marquees crown. The base of the crown is decorated with round rubies and oval emeralds in a circular and triangular setting. These gems are framed by two lines of rose-cut diamonds in a platinum beaded setting. At the top, there is a stylized fleur-de-lis motif in a diamond setting, alternating with pearls. A decorative chain with jaseron mesh runs along both sides of the base of the crown. French Victorian diamond bracelet in rose gold 18 karats and silver. This bangle bracelet is decorated with a stylized floral motif in silver set with twenty-seven old and rose-cut diamonds. The main diamond is an old mine cut and weighs approximately 0.42 carat. The bracelet closes with a concealed clasp, secured by a chain. Antique French bracelet of the Napoleon III period, French Victorian period, circa 1880.

Limoges porcelain Victorian pin in rose gold 18 karats and gilt metal. Antique Victorian pin decorated with a plate of porcelain of Limoges. The plate is shuttle-shaped and is decorated with a young woman, in a romantic spirit of the late 19th century. The plate is in closed setting. The central decoration is surrounded by twenty half pearls. The metal pin was added later, perhaps following a ring transformation. Antique jewel from the late 19th century.

Antique double stick pin in rose gold 18 karats. Victorian double stick pin decorated with two drops of coral with a slightly pinkish-orange color. The two pins are linked to each other by a gold chain. Victorian jewel dating from the second half of the 19th century, France, for hat or tie. They are called “inseparables” and came into use around 1835.

Georgian mourning hair ring in 14k pink gold. An antique locket ring keeping a braid of hair enclosed behind glass crystal. It is framed by a halo of 16 seed pearls and the settings is formed by two separated strands adorned with an openwork pattern. Jewel from the beginning of the 19th century, circa 1810-1830.

Hair jewellery was very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Jewellery with compartments made it possible to keep a lock of hair of a lover or a missing person (later it will be the photograph). It can be a medallion or a ring for example. There are also jewels made from hair, such as necklaces, chains, bracelets and rings. These hair jewels are worked like textiles: they are woven, embroidered, twisted. A whole craft industry developed around this new fashion, which lasted until the end of the 19th century.

Arts & Crafts brooch by Barnet Henry Joseph (1865-1929), in rose and yellow 9 karat gold. The brooch has a triangular shape and is composed of openwork interlacing. It is a typical pattern of English Art Nouveau movement, also called Arts & Crafts. In the center, a pink quartz cabochon adorns the piece in a serrated setting. The composition is decorated with a fine elongated pearl (not tested), also called a soufflure. English brooch made by Henry Joseph Barnet, circa 1910.
Victorian Spaniel brittany dog ring in rose gold 9 karats. Antique ring with a painted miniature, showing a sitted dog, looking to the right. It is most probably a hunting dog, Spaniel Brittany type. The miniature is painted on a white background (it could be ivory or vellum). 19th century ring, Victorian period, probably from England.

Victorian grisaille brooch miniature in 18 karat rose gold and silver. Of circular shape, a lady’s portrait dressed as in 18th Century fashion is painted in grisaille (different shades of greys). The portrait is encircled by a rose gold circle, two branches with flowers inlaid with pearls cross each other on the upper part of the jewel. Six pearls decorate the contour of the brooch to highlight the lovely portrait. Antique brooch from the Victorian period, 19th century.

Georgian mourning ring in 10k pink gold. This a sweet oval locket ring holding a braid of hair enclosed behind crystal. The braid is surrounded by a halo of 19 pearls and the panel is sat upon a delicate band separated into 3 openwork strands. The inscription : « Elizabeth Yve ob 2 sept.1810 aet 79 » inside the ring, indicating the date of death and the age of the personn. Jewel from the beginning of the 19th century.
